BARD Enterprises was founded in 1989 by Barbara Bigham and Ardith Oakes to provide a wide variety of writing and editing services.

WHO WE ARE

Barbara has 30+ years experience as a freelance magazine writer, magazine editor and publisher, newspaper editor, and writerand editor for global corporations and non-profit organizations.

Ardith learned effective advertising and marketing at a well-respected Madison Avenue ad agency before joining Barbara to form BARD Enterprises and helping build the company into a highly respected company specializing in writing and editing for the health care fields.

Together, we have:

written magazine articles

published a popular hobby magazine

served as editors of a major trade newspaper

ghosted and edited several books for clients

produced a wide variety of marketing and promotional materials

created broadcast and print advertising

written blog posts and website content

conducted social media campaigns (including Facebook and Twitter posts)

In the 1990s, BARD Enterprises added web content and design to its menu of services. The company specializes in simple, clean sites that are easy to navigate, look great, and contain interesting, well-written content.

One thing hasn’t changed over the years. BARD’s mission is the same as when it started: to do excellent work and help other businesses succeed and thrive!
